Flight Test Easy+ - Optimised design engineering process for aerospace structures

From 01-01-2005 to 31-12-2007
Website: http://www.irisa.fr/sisthem/flite/flite2.html

Description

The specific aim of the FLITE2 project is to innovate aerospace vibration testing and data analysis procedures resulting in an optimised design process. It is evident that CAE tools like Finite Element (FE) and aeroelastic analysis software will be used, but no explicit research is planned in these areas. The project rather concentrates on improving test related activities and better exploiting their analysis results in the “hybrid” aerospace development process. It is expected that major parts of the project results – a suite of innovative aerospace vibration testing and data analysis methods embedded in an optimised design process – will be implemented in commercial software products after the end of the project. The main target applications of these software products are evidently situated in the aerospace product development environment (GVT, in-flight testing, space acceptance process). In addition, also other sectors may benefit.
