Exome sequencing - Exome sequencing of colorectal cancer tumor and mismatch repair-deficient tumors.

From 01-08-2013 to 28-02-2014

Description

To unravel the complex genomic variation of colorectal cancer (CRC), SymBioSys is going to sequence in the next months the exomes 300 CRC tumors. The samples and cost for sequencing reagens are provided through the FP7-funded Angiopredict EU-project. Furthermore we are going to sequence 100 mismatch repair (MMR) deficient tumors. The funding for the experiments of the sequencing of the MMR deficient tumors is provided by projects funded by FWO and Belgian Foundation against Cancer. For an efficient analysis of this large number of exomes within our strict time schedule, we need the powerfull computational resources such as the TIER1. The pipelines we willl adapt for the use on TIER1 will be shared and discussed within the collaborating groups of the symbiosys project.
