MECOVI - Medical Collaborative visualization

From 01-01-2015 to 31-12-2016

Description

Over the last decades, healthcare has become increasingly complex due to the everincreasing   amount of medical knowledge and patient data available for diagnosis or   treatment. This has led to greater degrees of (sub)-specialization in the different  clinical domains and an increasing need for multidisciplinary collaboration.

In this project, we aim to develop an environment for local and remote multidisciplinary medical collaboration that provides easy and intuitive access to multimodal data and its visual interpretation in MDT meetings. We aim for a minimal disruption of the currently used workflows and clinical practice and will investigate a solution that is lightweight and broadly applicable.

To achieve this, we re-invent Barco's Clickshare product - a novel collaboration tool for the consumer and business market - and make it suitable for medical use and remote collaboration.
