Brain Oxygenation - Non Invasive Brain Oxygenation

From 01-01-2006 to 31-12-2009

Description

The aim of is to use the measurement of cerebral TOI, FTOE, dCBV and dHBD as a continuous non-invasive monitoring for prevention of cerebral hypoxia. To use the measurement of cerebral TOI, FTOE, dCBV and dHBD as a continuous non-invasive monitoring for prevention of cerebral hypoxia, the following steps are made : a. Further validation of cerebral TOI and FTOE in neonates during cardiac surgery. b. Measurement of the influences of different physiological parameters on cerebral TOI and FTOE c. Measurement of the influences of hypoxic pathology on cerebral TOI and FTOE d; Use of TOI and FTOE as a continuous monitor for prevention of hypoxic brain damage e. Measurement of the cerebral autoregulation by means of measurement of HbD and the invasive blood pressure.
