FWO project - Design and implemenation of adaptive digital signal processing algorithms for broadband applications

From 01-01-1997 to 31-12-2000

Description

The project is aimed at making fundamental contributions to the design of adaptive broadband signal processing algorithms. In particular, broadband extensions of narrowhead beamforming and channel identification/equalization will be considered, for such applications as conferencing and hand free telephony, as well as broadband digital communications. Secondly, the project is aimed at using advanced so-called algoritmic Engineering techniques to tune algorithms design to dedictated hardware implementation. Past experience has shown that preliminary algorithmic manipulations indeed largely determine the success of such a design.
