Bio

Xiaobing Shen received his MSc degree in Power System and Automation and his Bachelor’s degree from North China Electric Power University in 2016 and 2013. His master’s thesis involved the dispatch flexibility of the power system with wind farm integration. After his studies, he worked at State Grid Corporation of China as an electric engineer. Currently, he is working towards a Ph.D. at the KU Leuven-EnergyVille Power Electronics research group. His research interests centre around machine learning based power converters and high-frequency magnetic component design, and magnetic losses characterisation.
