IEEE Student Branch Leuven is located in the Electrical Engineering department of the K.U.Leuven:

Reachability with public transportation

From the Leuven train station bus 2 ‘Heverlee Campus’ leaves about every 10 minutes to Campus Arenberg. Take this bus till stop ‘Kantien’ where you see the Arenberg castle right in front of you. ESAT is at your right, just inside the Arenberg domain.

Reachability by car

If you use GPS navigation it is best to give ‘Kantineplein’ in Heverlee as the destination.

  • Go to the cross-roads ‘Naamse Poort’ on the ring around Leuven
  • Turn southwards towards Heverlee (at the Total service station)
  • The road immediately splits in two, go right
  • That is the 'Kardinaal Mercierlaan', follow this lane lined with chestnut trees for about one kilometer until the 'Kantineplein', a cross-roads square
  • Enter the park immediately to your right (watch out for bikers)
• Coming from Brussels/Brussel/Bruxelles or Luik/Liège: also see map below
  • Take the highway E40 (Brussels - Liège)
  • Take the exit E314 / Leuven (no. 15)
  • Keep to the right and follow the sign "Leuven" (leave the E314)
  • Turn right at the third traffic lights (direction Campus Arenberg, this is the Celestijnenlaan)
  • Drive on for about 500 m, until the bridge over the river Dijle, here there are some possibilities for parking that are indicated on the map below

  • Take the highway E314 (Aachen - Leuven)
  • Take the exit "Leuven" (no. 15). This is the last exit before the E40
  • Turn right at the third traffic lights (direction Campus Arenberg, this is the Celestijnenlaan)
  • Drive on for about 500 m, until the bridge over the river Dijle, here there are some possibilities for parking that are indicated on the map below

Parking near ESAT

• Immediately after de bridge over the Dijle you can turn left to enter the Arenberg domain. Keep following the road parallel to the river until past the Arenberg castle. About 50 m past the castle there is a public accessible parking. The building towering above the parking is the department of Electrical Engineering.
  Because this parking is full most of the time during the day, we advise only to use this parking for our evening activities or smaller activities during the day.
• Immediately after de bridge over the Dijle the mechanical engineering department is at your right. Here there are plenty of parking possibilities at only a walking distance from ESAT.
  On this parking your chances are best to find a free spot. Therefore we advise you to use this parking for our bigger events during the day.
• Immediately before the bridge over the Dijle you see Auditorium Oude Molen at your left. There are some parking spaces available here also. At the back of this parking (between the trees) you can turn left and immediately right, there you can find some other possibilities to park.
