Soirée Pratique: Build Your Own Robot!
In the academic year 2011-2012, the IEEE student branch Leuven organizes workshops during which a robot platform will be developed! In the first session, on November 7th, there will be an introduction of the arduino microcontroller, reading from sensors and the application of electrical components. In the later sessions, we will take a closer look at driving electrical motors, intelligent control and communication. You will operate in a team, up to 3 people, and work on a construction and programming assignment that you are free to follow. Both beginners and electronics experts are welcome!
The necessary arduino boards and other components are provided by the organizers and can afterwards be purchased at reasonable prices. This is the base platform that will be used in the subsequent sessions. Feel free to bring your own Arduino controller if you have one. If you have a laptop, also bring it along, so you can install the right software on the spot!
Participation is free, but to supply the appropriate amounts of components, the organizers ask to register. Please indicate whether you bring your own Arduino and / or laptop!
First Session: Arduino Basics, Monday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m.!
Places are limited!
