Soirée Technique: Solar power
Many amongst us have solar panels on their roof, but do you know how they work? What are future challenges if solar power is integrated in power systems on a large scale? How is this technology used in development cooperation projects? During this evening, you will get an answer to this questions by giving the participants a view on the development and application of solar panels.
This soirée technique is organised in cooperation with Humasol, a non-profit organisation who supports energy-technical projects in the South. In the framework of this cooperation, we also want to give an insight on the application of solar panels in development cooperation projects. Are you interested in this matter or do you want to start a project on your own? This evening is an ideal event to gain ideas.
We will start with Bert Bernolet from Solar Zonder Grenzen about experiences with their projects in the South. Thereafter, Johan Nijs from Photovoltech will give a presentation about state-of-the-art research and the functioning of solar panels. In the end, Achim Woyte closes the session by informing us about the future challenges for large-scale integration of solar power in power systems.
After the Soirée Technique, there will be a reception for all participants. Participation is free but you are required to register online with the form at the bottom of this page.
