Opening activity 2009-2010: CoffIEEE
On Wednesday October 7th, the IEEE Student Branch Leuven organizes its opening activity 2009-2010.In the afternoon, from 12h30 until 17h00, there will be a coffee oriented sports contest in front of ESAT, both in horizontal and vertical dimension we will look for extremes! How accurately can you pour coffee from the balcony of ESAT in a cup on the floor? How far kan you curl a coffee mug on a gigantic bar table? All contestants will receive an iconic IEEE-mug (as supplies last)! On top of that, nice prizes can be won!
As a side activity you can challenge your friends in a giant balance game! Knock them of their pedestal with a rubber ball you all control!
In the evening, starting at 20h00 in Aud A, the Belgian champion Barista ( coffee-specialist) Melanie Nunes will do us the favor of discussing real coffee, made for enjoying instead of staying awake!
De day will be closed with distributing the prizes of the sportive coffee-competition. De winners can toast their luck with a nice drink at the reception, where everybody can enjoy a drink!
