IEEE Sailing Weekend 2008

During the weekend of May 16-17-18, 2008 the IEEE Benelux Sailing Weekend is held in Wolphaartsdijk, Zeeland. The organisation is in the hands of our collaegues in Eindhoven and all Student Branches in the Benelux are invited. You don’t need any sailing experience at all, not being afraid of a little water is sufficient.

If you want to join this weekend, you'll have to pay 80€. All costs are included herein. The IEEE Student Branch Leuven will provide an extra funding for its IEEE members of 10€. The transportation to the location will be done by carpooling, drivers get the cost for gas reimbursed.

We will stay in sailing school 'de Viking' at the Veerse lake. Everything is there: kitchens, eat-/play room, bar, comfortable beds, a barbecue and a private beach. And we are definitely going to use these last two. For sailing there are 'Centaur' boats: 5 person boats that are described as safe and unsinkable.
