C++ Marathon

On Tuesday 17th and Monday 30th of October, Stefaan De Roeck gives his C++ Marathon. During this two-day intensive hands-on course, valuable C++ knowledge can be gained. The course is held in the electrical engineering departement (ESAT) and is available for everyone. Only a basic knowledge of object oriented programming is required. because the number of seats is limited.

A short overview of some topics:

• header/cpp-files, compilation, linking, using kdevelop
• declarations / definitions
• pointers (in-depth), new/delete, arrays
• classes, inheritance, dynamic binding, multiple inheritance
• templates, namespaces, const, using STL
• on request of course other topics can be discussed
