Emeritaat Prof. Van Dommelen

On September 15, 2006 Prof. Daniël Van Dommelen celebrated his emeritaat (retirement) in the presence of his family, colleagues, the head of the university, the dean of engineering and the head of the electrical engineering department. In total about 100 people attended this ceremony.

In itself this is already a special occasion but for the Student Branch it was extra special: professor Van Dommelen was the Student Branch Counselor in Leuven for the past 25 years. And the fact that he is this years recipient of the IEEE Outstanding Student Branch Counselor Award proves he did an excellent job. An ideal occasion for the IEEE Student Branch Leuven to celebrate our former counselor and thank him for his dedication by officially handing over the award.
