Currently, I am a post-doctoral researcher at the COSIC research group. This is part of the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT), one of the departments of the Faculty of Engineering of the K.U.Leuven (Belgium). From October 2008 on, my funding comes from a PhD grant from the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO Aspirant). Inside COSIC, I am part of the Privacy and Identity Management Group.

My research is focused on Privacy Enhancing Technologies. Amongst them I am mostly interested in:

· Anonymous communications

· Anonymity metrics

· Location Privacy

· Private Secure Storage

· Privacy by design methodologies

The title of my doctoral thesis is
"Design and analysis methods for privacy technologies", advised by Prof. Bart Preneel and Prof. Claudia Diaz. It was awarded summa cum laude with the congratulations of the board of examiners (only awarded in exceptional circumstances, at most 5% of the doctorates in engineering at K.U.Leuven).
