The list of project reports on which I have worked is available here.


I am one of the principal investigators of the FWO project Contextual privacy and the proliferation of location data (2011-2014).


I am the scientific coordinator of IWT SBO SPION (Security and Privacy in Online Social Networks) (2011-2014). The goal of this project is to study security and privacy risks of online social networks and to propose solutions that mitigate these risks.

From 2005 to 2009, I worked on IWT SBO ADAPID (Advanced Applications for the Electronic ID Card in Flanders). This project focused on developing privacy enhanced identity management systems.


From 2004 to 2009, I was involved with the EU IST FP6 FIDIS Network of Excellence. This Network of Excellence developed an integrated view on Identity in the European Society.


From 2000 to 2004 my work was mainly developed in the framework of the APES project. This project studied privacy and anonymity in electronic services.
